Brinkmann LaGrange turntableThe Brinkman LaGrange turntable hits top marks in the desirability department, the build quality is unsurpassed and its music making ability is top flight. This is not a cheap turntable but it will probably be the last turntable that you ever buy period and it has timeless looks into the bargain. Possibly the best bargain in the high end turntable world. |

Ayre Acoustics C-5xe Universal Disk Player On the digital front the hottest product of the moment is the Ayre C-5xe Universal Stereo Disc player. Wes Phillips from Stereophile summed it up then he said “The Ayre C-5xe has proved to be the best-sounding product I’ve heard all year”. In his review he referred to the considerably more expensive Linn unidisc player several times and his preference was for the Ayre C-5xe player. This is an excellent player on both cd and the newer digital formats. Top value and seriously under priced when compared to its rivals. |

Gryphon Diablo The Gryphon Diablo, Sure to become the ultimate reference integrated amplifier at any price. The Gryphon sonic magic in a reasonable sized and gorgeous case, you must hear this as it puts most pre power combo's to shame, pure music at its best. With 250 Watts per channel into 8 Ohms doubling to 500 Watts into 4 Ohms we haven’t found any speakers that this amplifier cannot drive and it seems to make sweet music with any pairing that we have tried. |

Pathos Cinema X On the Home Cinema front the Pathos Cinema X is simply amazing. Usually the move to home cinema includes several compromises on the stereo sound or even requires two different systems. With their new integrated amplifier, Pathos dares to prove that it is possible to integrate high performance stereo and surround sound in one product. When operated as a stereo amplifier, cinema-X delivers an awesome 450 watts per channel into 8 ohm. In 5.1 mode it delivers 5 x 110 watts into 8 Ohm with a very wide bandwidth, making it ideal for high resolution media. The design is exemplary and the quality of sound is firmly in the high end audiophile bracket, this amplifier can swing from making sweet purist music to exploding buildings in a flash, top notch. |
